Abraham Lule
Born and raised in México, Abraham Lule is an Art Director in Brooklyn, New York where he has his Lettering and Packaging Design studio. Nevertheless, before becoming a professional Designer, he was a Dance teacher. Choreographed and coached for Competition Dance studios in México for over 10 years, leading him to open his dance studio in 2008, where he had the honor to direct the National Dance Team (2015,2016) before moving to NYC. Today, he's the co-founder of Momen, an itinerant dance movement in New York City founded in 2020 alongside his husband, Al Blackstone and remains in love with Dance.

Alexia Acebo
Tampa native and first generation Cubana-Americana. National Tour: Wicked (Witch’s Mother), Chicago (Ensemble, Velma U/S). Regional: On Your Feet!, The Muny. TV/Film: Bridge & Tunnel, Lay Your Head on Me. ‘A mi manera’ is a love letter to all of us trying to figure out who we are away from where we’re from. Brayan Llamoza
Nacido en Caracas, Venezuela, desarrolló su pasión por el arte desde niño en su comunidad “Los Erasos,” destacándose como coreógrafo, actor y bailarín. Formó parte de la academia “Imagen Latina” bajo la dirección de Arelis Guevara, donde aprendió diversos géneros de baile. Ha representado a Venezuela en congresos y competencias internacionales, obteniendo primeros lugares en eventos como Phidias Star (Venezuela), Sábado Gigante, y el Curacao Salsa Tour. Ha trabajado con artistas como Karol G, Romeo Santos, Marc Anthony, y Enrique Iglesias. Actualmente dirige su compañía de baile, “Latin Connection,” en Nueva York.

Carlos Falú
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Carlos recently made his Broadway debut in the show ILLINOISE. Credits include Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story, Bradley Cooper's Maestro, Bad Bunny's World’s Hottest Tour, Coachella, and The Buena Vista Social Club (Off-Broadway).

Cristal Del Mar Lopez
A graduate from the specialized Ballet School Julian E. Blanco in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she trained with Carmen Ana Rodriguez, Vanessa Vachier, Roberto Rodríguez, Cristal also studied at the School for the Performing Arts under Olaya Muentes and Waldo González. After performing in numerous productions in Puerto Rico, Cristal trained at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. In NYC, Cristal danced with Ashlé Dawson’s Latin Fusion Dance Project and performed in works by Michelle Barber, Amanda Turner, Daniela García, and Luis Salgado. As a teacher and choreographer, Cristal has taught master classes across Puerto Rico and at Broadway Dance Center and PMT. Her work has been presented at Jazz Choreography Enterprises and Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company.

Dianne Cano
Miami native currently based in Washington Heights, NYC. She graduated New World School of the Arts (NWSA) in 2021 with a BFA in Dance. While at NWSA, Dianne performed work by Ohad Naharin, Robert Battle, Paul Taylor, Ronald K. Brown, and Jeffrey Lloyd Smith. She also attended multiple intensives with The San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, The Taylor School, Broadway Theatre Project, and Gibney Studios. After graduating, Dianne worked in Miami as a collaborator/swing for Adele Myers and Dancers. She also was a dancer for National Water Dance, a site-specific contemporary company under the direction of Dale Andree. While in New York City, she has had the honor of appearing in works by choreographers Adrian Lee, Charlie Sutton, Laura Halzack, and Robert Taylor Jr. Dianne esta muy felíz de poder celebrar su cultura hispana con Café Con Rumba!

Israel Harris
Israel is a Hispanic, Latino, Jewish American with Mayan heritage from Mixco, Guatemala, and is a Brooklyn-based freelance artist. He graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Dance and minors in Psychology and Hebrew and Judaic Studies. Israel danced abroad with Judith-Sanchez Ruiz, Meg Stuart, Leila McMillan, Shahar Binyamini, and Ohad Naharin, performed feature roles in works by Wayne McGregor and Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE, and danced in works by Lar Lubovitch, Ori Flomin, Luca Renzi, and Valeria Gonzales/VALLETO Dance. He’s worked with Eryc Taylor Dance, DanceAction, the Isadora Duncan Dance Foundation, and assisted Sidra Bell. Israel is a Company Member/Manager of Drye Marinaro Dance Company, Company Member with Seán Curran Company, and has presented work at Steps on Broadway, Jack Crystal Theater, and Fusia Dance Center. Israel is represented by Jim Keith/Movement Talent Agency, and can also be found working at the intersection of arts and advocacy.

Lu Mejía
Lu Mejia is a Colombian dancer and performer based in New York City and Bogotá, Colombia. Her main focus when dancing, choreographing and teaching is to create spaces and opportunities for dancers to explore movement and find their own, unique way of moving through curiosity, exploration tools, dynamics, textures and music. She now specializes in fusion dance styles. Professionally, Lu has performed at Jazz and Lincoln Center in New York City, New York Live Arts, Symphony Space, Music Hall of Williamsburg, Le Poison Rouge and the KnJ Theater at Peridance, to name a few. In Colombia, she performed live with singer/songwriter Jules at the launch of her most recent album “MELODRAMÁTICA” and has taught in several dance studios across the country. Lu is also the co-creator of the first Fusion Dance Camp in Colombia: "Encuentro" which welcomed over 150 dancers to a space for three days of intensive training in Medellin, Colombia in April 2024, and was a faculty member at the 2023 DA FLAVAH Dance Convention in Bogotá, Colombia.

Natalia Nieves
Natalia Nieves-Melchor, born in Puerto Rico, is a choreographer, dance educator, theater artist, professional dancer, and more. Natalia has appeared in Take The Lead (Broadway Workshop) a new musical coming to Paper Mill this season, West Side Story (The Lyric Opera of Chicago and MUNY), Cabaret (Asolo Repertory Theatre and Old Globe Theatre, Dance Captain and Associate Choreographer), Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (MUNY, Swing and Assistant Choreographer), Legally Blonde (MUNY), On Your Feet! (Westchester Broadway Theatre and MUNY). Television credits include The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (choreographed by Marguerite Derricks) and The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (directed and choreographed by Willdabeast, Janelle Adams, and Miguel Zarate). Paloma Gaspar De Alba
Paloma is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher based in Mexico City and New York City. She began her diverse training in competitive dance in Mexico and later specialized in contemporary dance upon moving to New York City in 2015. Her passion for dance has led her to explore various techniques, with her recent focus being the movement language Gaga, which has become central to her artistic exploration. Paloma now resides in Mexico, where she works with Motores Danza, a contemporary dance company directed by Gabriela Hernández. She continues to nurture her passion for dance, constantly exploring the interconnectedness between performance, education, and choreography.

Yepez
Yepez is the proud son and grandson of Ecuadorian and Colombian immigrants. His training began in South Florida followed by earning a BFA in Musical Theatre/BA Dance dual degree from SUNY Buffalo. Favorite choreographers he has worked with in NYC & regionally are Reed Luplau, Mike Esperanza, Mikey Sylvester, Luis Salgado, Talia Putrino, Lisa Stevens, and Gerry Mcintyre. Performance credits include Walnut Street Theatre, Engeman, GALA Hispanic Theatre, I Put A Spell On You!, Royal Caribbean & more. As a choreographer he has set numerous pieces and taught for studios & companies across New York, New Jersey, and more. Huge thank you to Sofia, Valentina, and Café Con Rumba for showcasing Hispanic & Latine artists. Love to my friends & familia for your support.

Andres Guerra
Venezuelan composer, arranger and not-so-classical guitarist Andres Guerra is a New York City based concert artist who aims break down the stigmas of classical music and bring his multi-faceted musical and artistic influences forth to shed a new light on the classical guitar. He has shared the stage and collaborated with a wide variety of artists, some of the caliber of Grammy-winning Carlos Vives, Erika Ender (songwriter of “Despacito”), 8th Blackbird, Aida Cuevas, Berta Rojas, Paquito d’ Rivera and the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela.

Zoe Azpurua
Zoe Azpurua is extremely excited to be participating in Café con Rumba’s second show. Born in Venezuela, Zoe moved to Miami at a young age and has always used the arts to express herself and communicate across different cultures. She began her vocal lessons with Nathalie Avila and participated in various musical theater productions as an original member of TalentZone Company. During her time in Miami, Zoe participated in Florida’s Song and Ensemble Competition where she received Superior adjudications for her solo and chamber choir performances. Now in NYC, she continues to spread her knowledge with middle schoolers as a choir director and has private lesson students.

Carol Leon
Carol Leon is excited to be a part of this year’s Café con Rumba! Born in Miami, FL and now based in NYC, this singer/songwriter has a deep love and passion for music on both the creative and business side. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, she studied a variety of subjects including vocal performance, songwriting, production, and music business to fully immerse herself in the music industry. She’s performed in a variety of venues in the Greater Boston area and is regularly hired to perform at local private events, weddings, and galas. She now works full time as a booking agent for artists based in the city while simultaneously working on her own music.
